The SMTD-1000-OD HYBD controls either a 2-speed primary pump, or a single speed circulation pump, a 12-volt ac spa light, an ionizer and an ozonator. It also will supply 240V or 120V power to a gas heater or heat pump and a remote on/off control contact (normally open) for either of these heaters.  The system is equipped with a 5.0 kW heating element. The control panel allows heating selection either by the electric element or by the gas heater/heat pump (the auxiliary heater). When in auxiliary heating mode, the unit will automatically switch to electric heating should the water temperature drop below the freeze protection value.
